Patience (Sabr)

Patience (Sabr) is a central virtue in Islam, encouraging steadfastness during hardship and obedience to Allah.

Quran

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ

O you who believe, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.

This verse teaches that patience and prayer are key tools for overcoming difficulties.

Hadith

«وَمَا أُعْطِيَ أَحَدٌ عَطَاءً خَيْرًا وَأَوْسَعَ مِنَ الصَّبْرِ»

No one is given a gift better and more comprehensive than patience.
